Obedience Classes

All classes are held at the Cheviot Hills Recreation Center, on Motor Ave near Pico Blvd, in West Los Angeles.

Novice Obedience Register for this class	Wednesdays 6 pm - 7 pm	Session Starts:  July 30, 2008 Session Starts September 24, 2008	Lynn	8 weeks $85	Dogs 5 months old and older Registrations will not be accepted for dogs under 5 months old. Teaching practical obedience using positive reinforcement Handlers must be at least 18 years old

Intermediate Novice Register for this class	Sundays 9:30 am - 10:30 am	Session Starts: September 14, 2008	Lynn	8 weeks $85	Successful completion of a WLAOTC Novice Obedience Class or permission of the trainer. This class is for dogs who have completed at least one Novice Obedience class and are solid in most Novice Obedience exercises.
Intermediate/Advanced Novice Obedience Register for this class	Wednesdays 6pm - 7pm	Session Starts August 20, 2008	Tawn	8 weeks $85	Successful completion of a WLAOTC Novice or Intermediate Novice Obedience Class or permission of the trainer. Dogs must be solid in most Novice Obedience exercises. Continuation of training for practical obedience and an introduction to the precision necessary for competition.
Competition Prep Register for this class	Mondays 7 pm - 8 pm	Session Starts: August 11, 2008	Tawn	8 weeks $85	This class is for dogs that have completed at least one Novice obedience class and are solid in most Novice exercises.  It aims to improve or perfect performance in Novice exercises and develop the attention needed for competition.  Students who do not plan to compete in Obedience are welcome.
Advanced Competition Prep Register for this class	Mondays 6pm - 7pm	Session Starts  August 11, 2008	Tawn	8 weeks $85	This class is a continuation of Competition Prep.  Open and Utility exercises will be introduced. PERMISSION OF THE INSTRUCTOR IS MANDATORY.
Open/Utility Obedience Registration Info	Wednesdays 7 pm - 8 pm	August 6, 2008	Tawn	12 weeks $120	Dogs proficient in Advanced Novice Exercises for Open.  Advanced obedience training emphasizing the exercises required for CDX (Open) and UD (Utility).

Rally Obedience Register for this class	Mondays 8pm - 9pm	Next class TBD, depending upon demand.  Students must preregister to be added to the waiting list.	Tawn	8 weeks $85	Novice Obedience or Equivalent Required skills: Familiar with heel, sit, down, stand, front, finish and figure 8 exercises. Learn signs used on Rally Obedience Courses
Rally Obedience  Advanced/Excellent Register for this class	Wednesdays 8pm - 9:30pm   Students are required to arrive early to do set-up and stay until class ends to do tear-down.	September 10, 2008	Tawn	8 weeks $95	Enrollment priority will be given to students who are active WLAOTC club members and then to people whose dogs have earned their RN titles. The purpose is advanced training in Rally Obedience emphasizing exercises required for Rally Advanced and Rally Excellent courses.
